Discover Paradox Lodge on Lake Placid!

Paradox Lodge was built in 1890 and is located on Paradox Bay on Lake Placid. The lodge provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere for guests. Once used as a rooming house in the early 50’s for summer guests, the building was later abandoned and left vacant for 30 years until the current owners/innkeepers purchased it in April 1998 and completely renovated it. Today, eight rooms are available on a year round basis, each decorated in its own unique style featuring handmade Adirondack furniture, antiques, ceiling fans, beautiful quilts, down comforters, and lots of pillows.

Guests have access to the living room area as well as the front porch and back yard/ waterfront. There are also three kayaks and one canoe for guest use.

Social distancing and face coverings are required in accordance with the COVID-19 New York State guidelines in any public area on Paradox Lodge properties.  We have taken extra measures to ensure your safety including application of disinfectant to all common touch points in room and common areas.

Due to COVID-19 we are no longer offering breakfast but you are welcome to utilize all of our outdoor dining areas. We do not do any housekeeping during your stay, however if you need something please ask.
